FDV - Parallel Flow Fan Powered Terminal Unit
FDV, FDVLPOverview
The FDV is engineered with excellent performance and ease of installation in mind. The primary air and recirculated air sections operate independently of one another, while both sections are controlled by the same input signal. This design allows the primary airflow to supply the cooling demand, similar to single duct terminal units, leaving the recirculating air section to provide the heating air volume.
Features
- Multipoint crossflow sensor for accurate flow measurement
- 20 GA. casing on larger sizes for added durability
- Blower access panel for improved field accessibility
- Backdraft damper for separation of primary and recirculated air
- Motor vibration isolation
Typical Applications
The FDV terminal unit delivers primary and recirculated airstreams in parallel, with the fan operating intermittently in heating mode. The FDV can operate with constant temperature and variable volume for handling high cooling loads. It is also able to operate with variable temperature and constant volume for heating or light cooling loads.
Optional Features
- Electric and hot water reheat
- ECM Motor
- Inlet and discharge attenuator sections
- Multiple liner options
- MERV 8 and MERV 13 filters
- Low Profile Construction (FDVLP)
