SUMMARY:Sizing VAV Boxes to Optimize Sound and Performance - PTP 4116
DESCRIPTION:How to avoid unwanted noise or control issues with your Terminal Units\nTerminal Units (often referred to as VAV boxes) come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Undersizing or oversizing any one component can result in poor VAV control\, unwanted noise\, or a reduction in flow range. This webinar will cover what engineers must know to size their Terminal Units for consistent\, optimal performance. \nWho is this for? Engineers who design VAV Systems. \n\n\nRegister Now

SUMMARY:Virtual Price Engineer Training Intro
DESCRIPTION:The Price Engineer Training (PET) Virtual class is designed for Engineers with less than 5 years of experience\, or those looking to brush up on their air distribution knowledge. Registrants will follow live interactive sessions online to grow in their knowledge of air distribution - without the need to leave home! Class sessions will explore the following HVAC topics: \n\nThermal Comfort\nRoom Air Distribution\nHVAC Acoustics\nVentilation and IAQ\nAir Terminal Units\nFan Coils\nSustainable Solutions\nHealthcare Applications\nNoise Control Solutions\nReal-World Application of Grilles & Diffusers\n\nThis class will be comprised of ten (10) 1-hour sessions spread over two days. The technical material will be similar to that presented at the in-person PET Intro classes. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with presenters during each live session. This class rewards a total of eleven (11) Professional Development Hours (PDH's). Engineers that complete this program will leave with a superior understanding of air distribution theory and the application of new technologies. \nCLASS TIMES: Wednesday & Thursday online (July 29-30) from 9 am to 3:30 pm EDT with a one-hour lunch break from 12-1 pm EDT. \nCLASS FEE:  The Virtual PET costs $100 USD. Payments are due no later than Tuesday\, July 28\, 2026. This $100 class fee includes a personalized Price HVAC Handbook for each attendee and an Uber Eats lunch voucher for both days. \nIf there are questions on whether this class is the right fit\, please reach out to your local Area Manager or Price Representative. \n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\nHost\n\n\nRyan Johnson\, PEManager - Engineering Programs\, Innovation & Learning Ryan has a Master's of Science in Engineering from the University of Illinois and 15 years of experience in HVAC research and applications. He oversees development and operation of Price Technical Center East (PTCE)\, Price Engineering Training Programs (PET's)\, and corporate engagement with industry standards (ASHRAE\, AHRI\, etc.). \nHOMETOWNChicago\, IL \nFUN FACTRyan plays the bass guitar (mostly poorly\, but he is improving!)
